my looks lets you build a digital wardrobe from photos of your own clothes and see AI‑generated outfits on a photo of yourself. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. In short: your wardrobe lives on your device, we don’t require an account, and we don’t sell your data or use it to train AI models.
What we handle
Photos you add — a photo of yourself and photos of your clothing. These are stored on your device. When you use an AI feature (try‑on, outfit ideas, background removal, 360° spins, videos), the relevant images are sent to our backend and on to Google’s generative‑AI service to create the result.
Generated images and videos — the try‑on images, outfit collages, spins, and clips are stored on your device.
Approximate location — if you allow it, we use your location only to look up local weather (via a weather service) so outfit suggestions match the day. It is used to fetch weather and is not stored on our servers. You can deny this and the app still works.
A random device identifier — a random ID generated on install, used only to apply daily free‑usage limits. It is not linked to your name or identity.
We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, or an account to use the app.
How your photos are processed
To generate try‑ons, outfit images, spins, and videos, the images you choose are sent over an encrypted connection to our backend and then to Google’s Gemini / Veo generative‑AI APIs, which return the generated result. This processing is done to fulfill your request. Google’s handling of that data is governed by Google’s terms and privacy policies. We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not sell or share them for advertising.
Weather look‑ups use Open‑Meteo and send only approximate coordinates — no photos or personal identifiers.
Storage and retention
Your wardrobe, saved looks, and generated media are stored on your device. Deleting an item in the app removes it; deleting the app removes all of its local data.
Our backend processes each request transiently to produce a result and does not maintain a profile of you. Standard server logs may briefly hold request data for reliability and abuse prevention.
What we don’t do
No selling or renting of your data.
No advertising and no cross‑app tracking.
No using your photos to train AI models.
Children
my looks is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Security
Data sent to our backend and to Google is transmitted over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your choices
Delete individual clothes or saved looks in the app, or delete the app to remove all local data.
Deny the photo and location permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
